CITY STAFF QUICKLY WORK TO PLACE COVID POSITIVE IMMIGRANTS IN A TEMPORARY FACILITY NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF TWENTY THIRD AND THREE MILE LINE, WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY LOOKING FOR A MORE APPROPRIATE AND MORE LONG TERM SITE FOR THOSE ACTIVITIES. THE NEXT DAY, WE'RE ABLE TO SECURE A SITE AT [INAUDIBLE] PARK THROUGH THE COOPERATION OF BOTH HIDALGO COUNTY PRECINCT THREE COMMISSIONER AND THE HIDALGO COUNTY JUDGE THE IMMIGRANTS WERE MOVED TO THAT OPERATION SHORTLY THEREAFTER. THAT SITE HAD 250 IMMIGRANTS ON SITE THE FIRST NIGHT AND CURRENTLY HOLDS JUST OVER ONE THOUSAND IMMIGRANTS IN TOTAL. CATHOLIC CHARITIES CURRENTLY HAS NEARLY 2000 INDIVIDUALS IN QUARANTINE THROUGHOUT THE AREA, WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THAT NOT ALL OF THOSE INDIVIDUALS ARE NECESSARILY COVID POSITIVE.
