1. PUBLIC HEARING:

A) ROUTINE ITEMS: (All Rezonings and Conditional Use Permits listed under this section come with a favorable recommendation from the Planning & Zoning Commission and will be enacted by one motion. However, if there is opposition at the meeting or a discussion is desired, that item(s) will be removed from the Routine Items section of the agenda and will be considered separately.)      

1. Rezone from R-1 (single family residential) District to A-O (agricultural-open space) District: All of Lot 6, Resubdivision of Lots 164-171, Pride O’ Texas Subdivision, Hidalgo County, Texas; 10601 North 29th Street.

B) CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS:

1. Request of Alyssa M. Martinez, for a Conditional Use Permit, for one year, for a beer and wine lounge at the 3.15-acre tract of land, out of the west 9.16 acres of the south ½ of the southeast ¼ of Section 9; Hidalgo Canal Company Subdivision, Hidalgo County, Texas; 800 North Main Street, Suite 500. A) Approval of Minutes for Workshop and Regular meeting held June 11, 2018.

B) Award of Contract for the purchase of various Traffic Signal Hardware and Fixtures.

C) Consideration and Approval of an Interlocal Government Agreement with the City of Reynosa for two (2) Police Vehicles.

D) Consideration and Approval to Remove Uncollectible Tax Accounts from Delinquent Tax Roll.

E) Consideration and Approval of  Interlocal Agreement between the City of McAllen and The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS) Cooperative.

F) Resolution authorizing the submission of a grant application to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for funding under the Fiscal Year 2019 Local Park Grant Program for the Quinta Mazatlán Expansion Project.

A) Providing for amendment of Chapter 10 ("Amusements") to provide for the regulation of street events.

B) Providing for amendment of Section 94-2 to regulate the use of public places as a place of business for providing services.

C) Providing for a budget amendment for the General Fund Mid-Year Revenues and Expenditures Adjustments.

5. RESOLUTION:

A) Authorizing the purchase of a tract of land for the proposed Park's Headquarters and Transit Bus Barn Project.

6. VARIANCES:

A) Consideration for a variance to not require subdivision process at HOIT (La Lomita) N88.6’-S584.3’-E559.74’ AN IRR TR LOT 15 1.21AC GR 0.85AC NET; 11221 N La Lomita Rd. 

B) Consideration for a variance to not require additional right-of-way dedication or pavement widening along Beaumont Avenue; 10 South 25th Street.

B) Ordinance amending the Code of Ordinances of the City of McAllen at Chapter 138 (“Zoning”), Article Iv (“Conditional Use Permits”), Section 112 (“Approval, Procedure, Responsibility And Appeals.”) and Section 118 (“Requirements Of Conditional Use”) by changing the notice requirement, adding event centers and changing the distance requirement; providing for publication; providing for severability, and ordaining other provisions related to the subject matter hereof.
